Suitability for Best Researcher Award:
Professional Development

Dr. Nour has a robust commitment to professional growth and maritime education. He’s contributed to marine engineering through research on hydrodynamic lubrication and journal bearings, publishing several high-impact Q1 manuscripts. As a lecturer at both AASTMT and Alexandria University, he specializes in Marine Diesel Engines, Power Plants, and Maritime Law, nurturing the next generation of engineers. He is proficient in operating “TRANSAS” Simulators and is an experienced trainer for IMO courses. Dr. Nour continuously engages in professional development through internal and external audits by DNV Classification Society, ensuring global standards.

Research Focus

Dr. Nour’s research primarily focuses on the design and construction of journal bearings for marine applications, particularly hydrodynamic lubrication within journal bearings, which plays a crucial role in marine machinery performance. His work led to the development of the Universal Journal Bearing Test Rig (UJBTR) for experimental studies aimed at enhancing lubrication oil performance. Through several research studies published in Q1 journals, he has contributed significantly to advancing marine engineering knowledge. Dr. Nour’s research also emphasizes practical applications, bridging the gap between theoretical studies and real-world marine engineering challenges.
