Dr. Ghodratollah Roudini at University of Sistan & Baluchestan | Iran
Dr. Ghodratollah Roudini is an accomplished Iranian materials engineer and Associate Professor at the University of Sistan and Baluchestan, where he has served since 2007 and played influential leadership roles, including Vice President for Planning and Development and Head of the Materials Engineering Department. Born on 23 September 1962 in Zabol, Iran, he holds a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Laboratory for Mechanical Metallurgy (LMM) at EPFL, Switzerland, along with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Materials Engineering from Tehran University and Shiraz University. His research expertise spans metal matrix composites, nanocomposites, phase-change materials, thermal energy storage systems, metal forming, and advanced materials design. Dr. Roudini has led and supervised extensive graduate and undergraduate research, contributing significantly to the development of innovative materials with tailored mechanical, thermal, and structural properties. His scholarly contributions include impactful publications on composite behavior, wear mechanisms, interpenetrating-phase structures, hydrophobic nanocomposites for oil–water separation, dislocation modeling, thermal energy storage nanomaterials, and advanced coating technologies. His recent works explore the mechanical and tribological performance of hybrid aluminum–ceramic composites, the design of polyurethane–magnetite–titanium dioxide nanocomposites, and the engineering of SiO2- and graphene-based thermal storage materials, reflecting his broad scientific vision and interdisciplinary approach. With deep experience in teaching advanced materials, metal forming, powder metallurgy, composites, nanocomposites, and dislocation theory, he has shaped the academic growth of many students. His career also includes earlier roles as lecturer and teaching assistant, marking more than three decades of continuous academic engagement. Highly respected for his scientific rigor and commitment to practical materials innovation, Dr. Roudini continues to contribute to engineering research that advances industrial, energy, and environmental applications.
