Uzair Jamil is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mechanical & Materials Engineering at The University of Western Ontario, Canada. His academic journey began with a Master of Engineering in Mechanical – Energy Systems from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. Building upon his passion for mechanical engineering, Uzair earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from the same institution. With a strong foundation in mechanical and energy systems, he continues to advance his expertise and contribute to the field through his ongoing doctoral research.

Uzair Jamil has held pivotal roles in various organizations, showcasing his diverse expertise in mechanical engineering and sustainable energy solutions. As a Senior Maintenance Engineer at Engro Polymer and Chemicals Ltd., he spearheaded mechanical maintenance initiatives for the Poly Vinyl Chloride Plant, demonstrating exceptional leadership and technical prowess. Prior to this, Uzair served as a Mechanical Engineer at Hub Power Company Ltd., where he managed maintenance operations for crucial power generation equipment, including turbines and boilers. Additionally, his stint as an Intern at Kruger Dresner Solar provided him with valuable hands-on experience in engineering sustainable photovoltaic racking designs tailored for agrivoltaic applications. Through these roles, Uzair has consistently contributed to the advancement of mechanical engineering and renewable energy sectors.

During his tenure at Hub Power Company Ltd., Uzair Jamil showcased his leadership abilities as the Lead Turbine Engineer for a significant $25 million Turbine Retrofit Project. His expertise and strategic approach were instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of the project, which aimed at enhancing turbine performance and efficiency. Additionally, Uzair played a pivotal role in conducting comprehensive feasibility studies for various power generation ventures. These studies included evaluating the viability of converting RFO-fired boilers to coal and exploring the potential of municipality waste-based power generation. Furthermore, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found Agrivoltaics Canada, where he continues to drive innovation and research in the field of sustainable energy solutions. Through these endeavors, Uzair has demonstrated his commitment to advancing the renewable energy sector and spearheading impactful projects that contribute to environmental sustainability.
