Prof. Li graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). He pursued further studies in Computational Mechanics at Swansea University, UK, under the mentorship of Prof. O.C. Zienkiewicz, where he earned his Ph.D. He began his academic career at DUT, advancing through faculty ranks to become a full professor. In addition to his academic work, he also served as a senior finite element software engineer at FEA Ltd., London.
