Dr. V. Selvarani is an accomplished chemist with over 17 years of experience in teaching and research. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in Chemistry at St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology, Chennai. Dr. Selvarani earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Presidency College, affiliated with Madras University, in 2022. Her doctoral research focused on enhancing the electrocatalytic performance of non-noble metal nanoparticles for eco-friendly power generation, under the guidance of Dr. B. Muthukumaran.She holds an M.Phil. in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University, where her research on metal ion catalysis in the perborate oxidation of hexacyanoferrate(II) was highly regarded. Dr. Selvarani also earned her M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from ADM Arts & Science College for Women, Nagapattinam, securing first-class honors in both.Dr. Selvarani has actively participated in numerous co-curricular activities, including clearing four NPTEL certification training programs offered by IIT with Elite certification and engaging in NSS camps.
