Professor Itamar Willner is a distinguished chemist renowned for his pioneering research in supramolecular chemistry, nanotechnology, and nanobiotechnology. He earned his Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1978), followed by post-doctoral work at U.C. Berkeley. He held various academic positions at U.C. Berkeley before becoming a Professor at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1986.
