Prof. Azeem Pasha at KNS Institute of Technology | India

Azeem Pasha is a dedicated mechanical engineering researcher specializing in functionally graded materials (FGMs) for aerospace and automotive applications, with a strong focus on composite design, powder metallurgy, nano-reinforcement, and advanced material characterization. Currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Bangalore University, his research investigates microstructural tailoring and performance enhancement of AlSi-based FGMs reinforced with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), aiming to achieve superior mechanical, tribological, and structural reliability in high-stress environments. His academic career includes extensive teaching and research experience as an Assistant Professor at KNSIT Institute of Technology since 2022, following seven years of service at Brindavan College of Engineering. His publications demonstrate a consistent focus on functional gradation, powder metallurgy, hot extrusion, and hybrid composite development, with notable works addressing tribological behavior of CNT-reinforced AlSi FGMs, microstructure and mechanical properties of AlSi/MWCNT composite cylinders, CNT content optimization, and load-dependent wear and friction mechanisms. Expanding beyond metal-based FGMs, he has also contributed to polymer composite engineering, including studies on low-velocity impact strength of E-glass and carbon-fiber hybrid laminates. His research integrates experimental characterization, microstructural analysis, mechanical testing, and property–performance correlations, contributing to the development of lightweight, high-strength, and wear-resistant materials for futuristic transportation systems. As an editorial board member and reviewer for multiple Scopus-indexed journals, he actively contributes to the scientific community, ensuring rigorous evaluation and dissemination of emerging research in materials engineering. His ongoing doctoral work continues to advance the understanding of gradient material behavior, nano-reinforcement distribution, and process–property interactions, positioning him as an emerging researcher committed to developing next-generation materials capable of meeting demanding aerospace, automotive, and high-performance engineering applications.
