Jingqi Chen is a dedicated materials scientist and lecturer at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Yanshan University, whose research focuses on materials processing, advanced metallic materials, and their applications in next-generation energy systems. He earned his Ph.D. (2021) and M.S. (2017) in Materials Processing Engineering from Northeastern University, following a B.E. in Metallurgical Engineering (2015) from Anhui University of Technology. Since joining Yanshan University in 2021, Dr. Chen has led and contributed to several influential research projects, including serving as the Principal Investigator for a National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientists Fund project investigating micron-scale steel preparation for new-energy vehicle power batteries. His expertise extends to high-end steel manufacturing, surface engineering, and advanced electrode materials, supported by major industry- and government-funded initiatives such as the HBIS Group “Unveiling and Commanding” Science and Technology Project and the Hebei Provincial Innovation Consortium Special Project. Dr. Chen has established a strong publication record, producing impactful research on copper foil deformation behavior, graphene-modified aluminum foils, high-performance Fe-Si alloy thin sheets, and advanced graphene-wrapped nanocomposites for lithium-ion battery electrodes. His papers appear in leading journals such as Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Applied Surface Science, Journal of Materials Science & Technology, and Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China. With 26 publications, 406 citations across 375 documents, and an h-index of 11, he has earned recognition for advancing the understanding of micro-rolling mechanics, corrosion-resistant current collectors, and structural optimization of battery materials. Dr. Chen’s work continues to bridge fundamental materials science with industrial application, contributing to the development of safer, more efficient energy storage technologies and high-performance metallic materials for modern manufacturing.
